LATEST UPDATES
05-2026
Location: River Bann / Moneypenny’s Lockhouse
Our recent expedition along the River Bann to Moneypenny’s Forge and Lockhouse was a perfect showcase of community and calm. Under a cloudless sky, we pedaled through vibrant greenery and fields of buttercups, finding a peaceful sanctuary at the water's edge where our group leader facilitated a meaningful, open dialogue that allowed everyone to recharge together. We extend our sincere gratitude to the team at Moneypenny’s for their hospitality, which made this riverside stop truly memorable. This journey captured the essence of what our club is about—moving together, finding stillness in nature, and building stronger bonds with every mile— as we gear up for our next route.
Computer Club,- [G9T] Gaming Night Drop-In
Our latest [G9T] Gaming Night brought together a fantastic mix of seasoned explorers and brave newcomers as we continue our journey into the harsh, untamed world of Valheim. With morale high and a collective focus on progress, we are currently tempering our skills in the starter biome while preparing for our inaugural showdown against the first boss, Eikthyr.
Current Operational Status
The group is currently focused on securing a sustainable base of operations. We are scouting the perfect site to house our critical infrastructure, including:
Resource Management: Dedicated space for raw material and food storage.
Crafting Hub: Workstations for high-quality armor, weapons, and gear fabrication.
Community Hall: A central structure designed to provide immediate safety and support for new arrivals before they venture out to establish their own personal homesteads.
Join Our Progression
We invite all adventurers to join our monthly sessions. For those new to the game, it is the perfect time to learn the ropes as we grow together, and for those who have missed a session, this is your chance to get back in the loop on where our group currently stands. The specific layout and interior design of our Great Hall are currently under debate—your contribution could help shape the very heart of our settlement.
Whether you are here to experience the thrill of the hunt, to assist in the construction of our permanent base, or to support our community's growth, there is a place for you in our ranks. Join us for our next monthly session as we continue to build, explore, and conquer.
Computer Club,- Digital Literacy Drop-In
Yesterday’s Digital Literacy Drop-In at Locke House was an incredible journey through the modern tech landscape! Over steaming cups of coffee, we dived deep into the world of Artificial Intelligence (AI). We mastered the art of "prompt engineering"—learning how to talk to AI to make our information searches faster and far more efficient. It felt like unlocking a digital superpower! - one attendee mentioned.
The conversation evolved into the "modern juggle" of multi-tasking, discussing how to navigate multiple screens and apps while staying connected. Using our big screen, we also got hands-on with browser cookies, demystifying how to manage them to keep our digital footprint clean.
One of the most impactful moments was our Digital Hygiene live demonstration. I decided to put my own email on the line to show what a data breach actually looks like. We found 7 past incidents where my data had been leaked—but there was no reason for panic! Briefly, I shared, how every single one of those events was caught in time and neutralized through proactive steps.
The takeaway was clear: a data breach is often simply a sign of being digitally active. As I shared with the group:
"Even if you go out with an umbrella when it’s raining, a passing car might still splash you. If you aren't wearing a full waterproof suit, the most logical and simple reaction isn't to stop walking—it's just to change into dry clothes."
In the digital world, that "change of clothes" means having a clear action plan: updating passwords, enabling two-factor authentication, and staying informed. We left the session feeling empowered, not afraid, knowing that staying safe online is all about being prepared and staying curious.
It was a fantastic blend of high-tech insights and cozy community vibes. See you at the next one! 🛡️💻
The Locke House crew traded the headwind for pure sunshine on our stunning ride down the River Bann to Hollie Berrie Tea Room. With morale at an all-time high and the weather playing its part perfectly, it was an exceptionally beautiful day in the saddle.
